Rationale

The work rules are changing and we are being judged by a new yardstick. What matters now is not just how high our IQ is or our training and expertise but also by how well we handle each other and ourselves. This is where emotional intelligence comes in. Research now reveals that IQ takes second position to emotional intelligence in determining outstanding job performance across all levels and functions in any organization.

Emotional competence is a learned capability. These competencies and skills can be acquired through training and practice.
